I have my Cross-post problem fixed now for those that go into my old LiveJournal blog (
bizcards). It was having problems with images that are placed in my blog, I found it to be from a plug-in that auto signed alt tags to the images placed in my blog, and LJ didn’t like the code it was using so it was dumping it. I tried to edit some of my past entries, so if you have noticed strange html errors on some, that is why. So my Cross-Posting should be fixed for the images part. Remember you can always comment on my new blog using your OpenID which is what LJ supports and uses too! =) If you do notice any past entries still like that, give me a comment to that entry and I will get it fixed asap. Plus, I do have a plug-in now that will e-mail you when I have replied to comments so you will know about these. Try it out today!
If you haven’t yet checked out my new blog, please feel free to do so!

I now have a new layout to my blog.
I used the mushblue-10 WordPress theme set up by: Mukka-mu.
I edited it some for some of my stuff I have on it.
Even edited my header images to fit the new theme.
Thank goodness for Layers in Photoshop to make it easier to edit.
I even added DiggIT to my blog, so you can click on the DIGG feature for any of my post, if you wish to do so. I also have OpenID installed on my blog now too. So you can reply to comments using your OpenID. (Attention my LiveJournal friends! — This is where you put in the URL of your Journal) and it will allow you to comment on my blog. Please visit my blog and let me know what you think.
http://blog.cardeologist.com.
If you have any suggestions, comments, etc. about my blog, please let me know. I want to hear them.
Added: I disabled the DiggIT Plugin, it kept giving me errors when I would make a post or edit entries. But, I hope to find a fix.

I got two Where’s George hits the other day. I thought I would get to posting about them.
Hit #1 from yesterday.
This bill has travelled 273 Miles in 31 Days, 10 Hrs, 15 Mins at an average of 8.7 Miles per day.
It is now 273 Miles from its starting location.
I entered this bill in Knoxville, TN and it is now in Ramer, TN.
Ramer, TN is in McNairy County. This is a new county for me in Tennessee.
I now have 41 of the 95 counties in Tennessee.
Hit #2 from yesterday.
This bill has travelled 75 Miles in 81 Days, 7 Hrs, 15 Mins at an average of 0.92 Miles per day.
It is now 75 Miles from its starting location.
This is a bill I entered in Kodak, TN (Sevier County) on my way to the Asheville, NC gathering.
I traded it with newwave at the gathering and now it is in Brevard, NC. This is a Liquored up George because of the reference to a liquor store.
Whining does wonders!
I want more hits and I want them now!
*fingers crossed*
Wish me luck!

Today is a very special day. My little girl is another year older now.
They seem to grow up very quickly. I cannot believe she is now in her double digit numbers.
That is 10, for those who cannot do math. LOL Just kidding!
Before you know it, she will be off to college.
It seems time flies by more rapidly each and every day that passes.

This is just an update. If you haven’t noticed, I haven’t made many post lately.
I have been busy at work and when I am at home, I have been configured my new blog:
http://blog.cardeologist.com. So please update your list to my new blog address.
As some of you know, I now use WordPress blog on my own domain. I did export a good bit of my old entries from LiveJournal, my prior blog. But, I do have a plugin for my blog that crosspost to my LiveJournal, so all my LJ friends can still read my post. Yes, you can all can reply to my post at my new blog! When it ask for URI or URL, just use your link to your LJ. Example: http://bizcards.livejournal.com.
I even have a plugin that will allow me to continue to use and it will auto-convert it to look correctly in my blog
bizcards.
Tomorrow, we are getting cable and DSL. So now we can have fast internet and get rid of our dial-up. Now, I don’t always have to go to go a place with free Wi-Fi just to download updates to my computer or iTune songs. Plus, the wife and I both can be Online at the same time.
Now is the cable t.v. part. I haven’t had cable t.v. since before I got married, which will be my 8th anniversary in June. We are getting the extended basic which comes with like 77 channels or so.
I have a huge stack of business cards I have received since April 7, 2008. Once, I get a free moment, I will count them and make a post on who I got them from and how many and what my new total is. So please be patient as I work on this.
If you have business cards for me, please keep them coming! You can send them to:
Steve Patterson
PO BOX 27840
KNOXVILLE TN 37927-7840

I got my entries imported from Livejournal. I didn’t import the comments, I figure the most important part is the post themselves. Now, I will have to go through them and weed out ones I don’t want kept and ones I do. Plus, perhaps edit some of the words in them and such to fit for WP. I used a program called, LJArchieve to do this. You find more information at: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ljarchiv

Not much longer and a section of Interstate 40 through Knoxville, TN will be closed. This closure happens May 1, 2008. The section between James White Parkway and Hall of Fame Drive (Exits 388A to 389). Yes, it is a small section, but it is very close to downtown! This will be a headache, because it will be closed for 14 months starting this May. As alternative routes you can use I-640 or I-275 to by pass this closure of I-40. SmartFIX40 as they call it. You can find more information at: http://www.smartfix40.com/. You can even see a rendering of what it will look like when it is completed, which is scheduled for July 2009. (14 Months).
I hope that when they get this all fixed it will be a lot better, but you know how construction goes. Once they complete this section, they will move a few miles down the interstate and do another one. Never ending!

I have my Web site hosted through Mister.net.
I only pay $35 per year total. That includes hosting and e-mail, etc. It cost additional $35 to add My SQL to it. Plus, more features, bigger space and bandwith. So I plan to upgrade my Web site soon, so I can have the My SQL and transfer my blog onto my own domain from WP’s site, but I still will be using WP’s site. I will keep you all updated on this progress.
I did get my comments exported to XML using one program and it couldn’t do the post entries, kept giving an error. Now I did use a different program, it would allow me to export my entries, but not my comments. Go figure eh? But the bad thing is, my comments XML is 4 MB, it is already over the 3 MB limit. So I may just import my entries and not my comments from LiveJournal.
So please bare with me as I make the switch over from LJ to WP. It will be a long process, but I am slowly but surely getting it. I just wished I knew about WP from the beginning, it would have saved a whole of time eh?
Plus, now I need to market out this new blog, but I will wait until I get it hosted on my Web site, before I do that. I know my LJ can be found in tons of blog searches and such. So it will be just a matter of time before it will be found here. I think I enjoy the more custom features you an do at WordPress than LiveJournal. Plus, you an host WP on your own domain.
If you all are reading this, please let me know what I can do to make my blog better and such. I am up for suggestions and ideas or if you have tips about moving over and such, share them with me, pretty please! Including great plug-ins to use and such. *big smiles*

My greatest Accomplishment is…
Attaining the Rank of Eagle
The Rank of Eagle, for those that don’t know if the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America. I attained my Eagle July 5, 1994. I had to advance in rank to move on my Trail to Eagle. I also had to earn “Skill Awards.” They no longer have Skill Awards. Plus, I earned Merit Badges. I had to go on camping trips, do community service projects and serve as leadership position in my Troop.
For my Eagle Scout project, I did some landscaping. I landscaped around the Annex building of my old church. The building wasn’t used for anything. They called it the Old Youth Building. Shortly, after I landscaped the building, they turned it into a Mother’s Day Out building.
I started out in Cub Scouts as a Bobcat. I don’t think they had Tiger Scouts then or near me. I have also served as Assistant Scoutmaster for 2 troops in Knoxville, TN and then 1 in Gaylord, MI.
I would like to find a local troop and help them. I have two numbers to contact about helping a local troop.
My old troop is no longer around, but I have heard they are trying to get the church to approve having the troop back again, this would be a few blocks from my house. Growing up it was just half a block away.
In the Scouts I got up to “Brotherhood” in the Order of the Arrow. (0A). Those in the BSA know what I am talking about.
I need to renew my membership to NESA (National Eagle Scout Association).
My resume even list that my greatest achievement is attaining my Rank of Eagle.
BTW, did you know that in Feb. 2010, Boy Scouts will be 100 years old?
I remember the 75th Diamond Anniversary while I was a kid in the Scouts (1985).
My Boy Scout troop even made it to the 50th Anniversary, forgot when now.
“Once an Eagle Scout, Always an Eagle Scout.”
